Welcome to this New Moon in Gemini at 12 deg 33″. It’a all about communication and curiosity with the busy sign influencing the tone at this time. Gemini is an air sign so it’s also more about the mental faculties. Exchanging ideas and information, using our wit and generally being more engaged. Sometimes too much so.
The New Moon is about planting the seed and so setting the intentions. It is dark right now however as the moon’s light brightens again slowly, these intentions can take root and eventually manifest into the reality we give them. I’t like prepping the soil for the harvest of the full moon.
Today’s date – 3rd, has numerological meaning, being also about similar themes – communication and ideas afloat. Also the Sun and Moon are making a T Square to Neptune in Pisces and Jupiter in Sagittarius. This will add a little tension or ‘challenge’ to the themes around our communication. The new moon heightens the energy, and as it’s triggering the mind and communication it can be a bit tricky and ignite the urge for gossip, so be mindful of that and also check the details and how information is received. By the end of the week Mercury moves out of Gemini and into Cancer. This will bring a big shift of energy as this airy and fast moving flow of ideas then slows down into the more receptive waters of Cancer. There will be more clarity. Home and family will taking our attention more than usual.
So if we look ahead to December when the Full Moon will enter Gemini, this is likely the time we may see the results of what we are dealing with now and are planting the seeds for. It is important to steer you mind and hopes towards what is really important and for your highest good.
This T Square between the Moon, Jupiter and Neptune can tend to expand or inflate the facts so watch out for that kind of thing. At its best, it’s inspiring and can be a great time for creativity and fill us with joy and optimism. It is important to keep grounded as these energies can toss us around a little and make us feel a bit overwhelmed. It’s important to focus on the positive aspects of our lives and realise and remember that whatever frequency you are operating in will only attract the same back to you. Work on maintaining a fairly elevated vibration so as to avoid this. Step back and take time out to meditate or go for a quiet walk in nature etc.
With this New Moon in Gemini it’s so easy to let that ‘monkey mind’ chatter away with all sorts of self defeating talk. Gemini loves versatility and change and can be a bit restless, but remember we have a choice over our reaction to whatever is going on around us. Practice that mindfullness and try to reduce some of that ‘white noise.’
Venus and Pluto are trine to each other, so with Pluto intensifying the emotions watch out for jealousy, over reacting and the emotional storms. On 5th June the moon joins Mars so this can heat up the emotions and on the 6th June, Moon opposes Pluto, so it’s all a little intense. Try to step back and take a deep breath as it may help you avoid some unpleasant clashes. Mars will conjoin the moon’s north node exact on 12th June. This will bring up lessons about self assertion and emotional security, and also on a global level as we see some countries very sensitive around the areas concerning their borders and boundaries.
So apart from the spiritual and expansive energies, there will some very testing moments that require patience and counting to three perhaps before we speak up may be a good idea. In mid June we have Mars in Cancer in opposition to Saturn in Capricorn. When this occurs we often see a greater amount of attention to the military or even of people joining the defence services. This is the energy of discipline and when applied to our personal lives, much can be achieved if we adhere to the hard work and stay focused on the task at hand.
So to finish up, I’ll repeat that the New Moon is always a perfect time to write down all you are grateful for, what it is you wish for and to focus on it as if it were already happening as the universe offers a special vortex of energy here and if you move with the flow of this magnetic energy, as we are all a part of it, you will be amazed at how generous this universe can be.
