We have a lustrous Full Moon in fiery and truth seeking Sagittarius at 27 degrees 53 mins. Culmination and closure – where is this happening in your own chart? Always more helpful to know this. In Sagittarius it will reveal more truth, as this is the signature of Sagittarius.
The aspects around this full moon are really quite something as this is a truly intense time and so under the light of the full moon we are not going to avoid the lessons that are being asked of us. We have Mars in Cancer opposing Saturn in Capricorn which is also conjunct the Sth Node of the Moon and nestled next to the great transformer Pluto. Mars ignites and provokes and he is also conjunct Mercury and conjunct the Nth Node of the Moon in Cancer. This Cancer – Capricorn axis is really operating with volume in this strong planetary pattern. The full power of this will play out in our own lives and in the collective as always, so just being aware & conscious of how you ‘speak’ perhaps is one thing to watch. As with Mars and Mercury (communication) holding hands, we can tend to speak out sharply or impulsively and before you know it the power struggle (Pluto) can emerge. Saturn in the mix can evoke trouble too as we can feel unappreciated or in some way bring in the emotions of anger, jealousy, and just generally a feeling of wanting to move mountains but hitting one’s head against a brick wall. Mars = now and Saturn = long term goals. Mars then moves on to oppose Pluto at 22 degrees. Focus, will and assertion are keywords. By the 23rd June Mars then forms a square angle to Eris in Aries (asteroid of discord) So Mars activating a square between Saturn and Pluto to Eris in Aries, so increasing the chances of disagreements and is pretty dynamic and challenging but can be productive as well if you are operating consciously.
However, all is not doom and gloom as we also have a lovely trine from Mercury and Mars in Cancer to Neptune in Pisces. This is about merging practicality with intuition. Neptune is also slowing down to go retrograde on Sat 22/6 for about 3 months. This is also on the Solstice – Winter for us in the Southern Hemisphere and Summer Solstice for the Northern. This will be about our spirituality essentially. It connects us to the divine and is very ethereal. It’s a bit like peeling the veil away and learning to integrate the planetary principal of Neptune – which is predominantly about our spiritual practice. We will be reviewing and examining where and how we honour this, and how it best serves us. Are we wanting to look more closely to see what we believe in really is for our highest good, or do we want to explore other methods of spirituality? This is a great time to meditate or do breathe work, yoga, practice our rituals, or whatever you feel will inspire and centre you. The energy of the full moon on top of all this may make it a bit hard to sleep.
On the 23/6 Venus in Gemini opposes Jupiter in Sagittarius and forms a square to Neptune in Pisces. This will heighten our creative energy, so appealing will be the aesthetics, art and music and our sensitivity will be aroused. As Mars moves over 22 – 24 degrees of Cancer it is like a ‘set up’ for next month when we have a lunar eclipse with the moon at 24 degrees Capricorn. This is also true for the Saturn and Pluto conjunction ahead in Jan 2020. This happens only every 33 – 36 years. Interestingly enough, this also feeds into the impending Pluto return in the US chart to happen in 2022. Leading up to this time there will no doubt be implications for the world economy. What are our values? They are changing dramatically. Whatever is happening now is playing out in time for that event. The more we can connect to the more ethical and higher levels of operating will help us to step back and cope with the changes around us. The way we value ourselves and operate will reflect back to the world around us and manifest what we want to unfold.
One last thing to mention here is that this Full Moon is activating a very powerful degree – 26 deg Sagittarius is the Galactic Centre of our Milky Way. It pours out strong streams of radiation. So shedding long held beliefs to make way for new information is imperative. There are really deep energies at play here. Try to be humble, cultivate patience. Take care.
