This New Moon is upon us now, so as always this is when we set our intentions, make our wishes and sow the seeds for what we want to manifest.

As with all New Moons she is recharging ready for the next cycle as she joins the Sun in her journey for the month. This month she is pulling in the Virgo energy. The Moon & Sun join up at 27 degrees Virgo. This is about taking in the information and then breaking it down, assimilating and redistributing it as the uncluttered and perfected result. Virgo is great at discriminating and so is very helpful depending on where this is needed in our lives right now. There are a couple of big aspects going on at the same time. We have what we call a T-square. This is the opposition between the Sun & Moon in Virgo and Chiron in Pisces (wounded healer) and then a square to Saturn and Black Moon Lillith in Sagittarius. There is also a 150 degree (Quincunx) aspect between the Sun & Moon to Uranus in Aries. There may be some repressed emotions swirling under the surface as Saturn is holding on strong and keeping us in our structures and on our soap boxes about certain social issues, and with Black Moon Lillith rattling his nervous system as she continues to poke him in the ribs and ask him to rebel. Opposing Chiron, we store hurt feelings in our hearts and minds and we tend to harbour them in our bodies. We don’t want this to bring about illness so letting go of these past hurts is paramount to us clearing the old and moving on with clear sight and obtain inner fortitude.
Be mindful of your words with all this Virgo energy as sometimes they can be a little harsh. Both with others and with ourselves. Jupiter in Libra continues the strong opposition to Uranus in Aries as well. This transit can indicate a sudden and dramatic change in your life. It may be as simple as a break in your routine to a breakdown in your relationship, career or way of life. You could feel that strong urge for change but on the other hand feel rattled at the thought of breaking new territory. Either way it is still a great time to think about where you need to free yourself of restrictions. New found freedom lies ahead.
The fire in your heart will be more trustworthy than the thinking processes at this time. Meditate gently on your path and ask your higher self what is the best path forward for your highest good. This is the time to look at our current lives with clear eyes and bring in systems that are helpful for our sustainable growth. After the recent big energies of the eclipses both at full and new moons, albeit at times swift in change and somewhat conflicting in their messages, we have had to navigate between honouring the ‘self’ through Leo and then struggle with issues of control within the lessons of Pisces to surrender and let go of attachments. The Soul lessons are the ultimate aim always so keeping clear about our struggles and outcomes are paramount always. It’s a reflection of how well you know yourself as to how ‘easy’ or ‘difficult’ these challenges are. To know the ‘self’ and yet aim to become ‘selfless!’ To recognise the ‘healthy ego’ and to let go of what doesn’t serve us.
Watch for the self-judgement but look through honest and clear eyes. Pisces (opposite of Virgo) helped us to expand in a metaphysical sense and Virgo asks us to lay the foundations and take the steps so that we can manifest and bring it into the physical. Healthier habits may be implemented. It may require us to roll up our sleeves and do the hard work. Putting new systems in place to ensure no details get lost as we reach for our goals. This is an earthy and practical sign, Virgo. He likes to help us dot our I’s and cross our T’s so to speak. Do be careful not to be too critical of yourself and of others. This is the time to become the better version of yourself. Ask what needs to be done in order to make the changes you most want to set in motion.
